Webel Fujisoft Vara CoE conducted its first MSME connect programme today at its new state - of - the - art centre at Newtown, Action Area IIIA. 

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Pradip Mukhopadhyay, MD WEBEL and presided over by Mr. U. Swaroop. IAS, Joint Secretary, MSME & T Dept. Other joint directors and GM (DIC) of MSME &T Department as well as senior executives of STRATASYS, Fujisoft and VARA were also present.

An Insightful presentation was given by the different representatives of STRATASYS (Technology Partner to the CoE for Additive Manufacturing) on 3D printing technology and applications including case studies for the MSME Sector in India.

Abhijit Roy - CoE Head of Corporate Alliances gave a comprehensive presentation on the applications of additive manufacturing and industry 4.0. Furthermore, he also elaborated on how the CoE will engage with MSME clusters and units and infuse technology in the current manufacturing processes of the MSME clusters and units.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session and many valuable suggestions were shared and discussed from the government agencies. This was followed by a walk-the-talk session and a demonstration of 3D machines in action. This allowed for an understanding of the nuances of the processes involved, which enthralled the representatives of the MSME industry and other distinguished guests.
